Recognition earned through evidence

The Duty to Pause Award of Excellence recognises organisations that can demonstrate meaningful, measurable change in menopause-informed professional practice. Recognition is not awarded for course completion alone. Evidence is independently assessed across leadership, policy, supervision, communication, recording and everyday professional decision-making.

How recognition is awarded

Organisations progress through a clear, evidence-led assessment process. Recognition is based on demonstrated changes in professional practice and is not awarded automatically through course completion.

  • Register your interest. Begin with a short conversation about your organisation, workforce and aims.

  • Complete the learning programme. Relevant staff undertake Duty to Pause and use the accompanying organisational tools.

  • Gather and submit evidence. Show how learning has influenced leadership, policy, supervision, communication, recording and everyday decision-making.

  • Evidence is reviewed against the published criteria. The assessment determines whether recognition is awarded and, where the required standard is met, the appropriate level.

  • Recognition is valid for two years, with reassessment required for renewal. Material organisational changes or significant concerns may require earlier review.
